Northern Virginia Wine Country Day Tour

Come spend the day exploring two award winning wineries in Historic Leesburg, Virginia with your fellow Quotarians. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Northern Virginia as you set off for two private tastings at wineries of different flavors. A tasting typically consists of 8-10 wines and a light lunch will consist of sandwich fare and snacks.
Zephaniah Farm Winery: Start the day being picked up from the Capital Hilton at 9:00 am. We’ll head to our first stop in Northern Virginia, Zephaniah Farm Winery, where we will be treated to a special vineyard tour, seated tasting, and lunch in the garden or on the porch. Zephaniah is a family-owned winery farming on the land since 1950 introducing the planting of grapes 16 years ago. Zephaniah was recently named one of the top 25 wineries in the United States.
Stone Tower Winery: The second stop at Stone Tower Winery is set atop Hogback Mountain on 306 exquisite acres with 75 beautiful acres of vineyards to walk through. Here we’ll get to see the life of a grape, from the harvest all the way to the end product, the unique experience of tasting wines beside the vines and barrels from which they were created. After a festive, relaxing day, we’ll return to the Capital Hilton by 4:00 pm.

Historic Annapolis Day Tour

Annapolis is the state of Maryland’s capital city located on the Chesapeake Bay, its historic district populated by quaint 18th century housing filled with restaurants and shopping.
Come explore it’s charming waterfront, kicking off the day with a private 60-minute Historic Annapolis Trolley Tour! There are more 18th-century brick homes in Annapolis than any other city in the nation, making a trip to Annapolis a true walk down memory lane. After the trolley tour from 9:30 am – 10:30 am, enjoy the afternoon shopping and lunch on your own.
Stop by the Visitors Center at 26 West Street in Annapolis. Located in the city’s Historic District, the center is within easy walking distance from every point of interest in downtown Annapolis. The center’s location is a great starting point, while our helpful volunteers are a great resource for things to do, events happening in the area, suggestions, and much more.
The satellite Visitor Information Booth at City Dock, located at Ego Alley at City Dock, is a great place to learn about boat and walking tours, picking up a map, and touching base for recommendations on accommodations, restaurants, shopping, and attractions.
