Fact: The victims of exploitation and human trafficking are predominantly women and girls.

In honor of International Women’s Day, 60 passionate women of Quota International of Leisure Coast hosted a High Tea, recognizing the accomplishments of their neighbors and raising funds to fight human trafficking. Their guest of honor was Aimee Chaffer, the Senior Case Manager at Australia’s first and only safe house for victims of trafficking and slavery. Chaffer spoke about the women who come to the Safe House- the location of which is confidential, and their experiences in bondage. At the end of the event, all the proceeds were donated to the Safe House to help Chaffer and the other case works empower women and children in Australia.
