From the Field: the Female Network details the 12 Filipino Laws that Protect Women

Fact: 1 in 3 women experience physical sexual violence in their lifetime.

Quota International has spent the last 96 years advocating on behalf women around the globe, empowering them to be and do more. In the Philippines, there are a number of laws that protect women from violence and harassment; unfortunately, many of these laws and acts are unknown to the public. The Female Network, a website that caters to women, has compiled a list of 12 laws that ensure the protection of women and girls in the Philippines. They include Anti-Sexual Harrassment Act, Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, and the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act.
