Minute for Mission: Improving Literacy, One Book at a Time

FACT:  1 in 4 children in America grow up without learning how to read.

Quotarians in Sioux City, Iowa, United States know how important literacy is in building a better future for every child. To make sure reading rates increase in their own community, volunteers donated over 250 reading books to Hunt Elementary School. As a part of a new initiative, the Community Outreach Committee organized donations from the community at large to provide this resource to the elementary school’s library.

This seemingly small step, can-and will-make a large impact on the children at Hunt Elementary, and in Sioux City. When we make sure our community has what it needs to be successful, we ensure a better tomorrow. Thank you to the everyday heroes in Sioux City and beyond who are making literacy a priority in every community.
