Ronald McDonald House is a charity organization that provides accommodation for families trying to stay near hospital when their children are being treated. The success of the charity depends on the efforts of volunteers all over the world.
Each year, the Quota International community in Brisbane City, Australia participates in the corporate and community Make A Meal Programme. Volunteers take the time to prepare home cooked meals for up to 50 people at a time. Meals start at 5pm for those who are able to leave their children for a few hours. For the parents, siblings, and other relatives visiting children late into the evening, extra meals are packaged and readied when hunger, exhaustion and emotion set in.
