Convention 2014: Service-on-Site

Serve Banner

Books ‘N Bears

Service-on-Site has become a Convention tradition and rallies members together around Quota’s mission of serving the deaf and hard of hearing as well as disadvantaged women and children.

This year’s project will be collecting books and donations for Quota Cares Teddy Bears. Books both new and old will be accepted as an extension of Quota’s Cops ‘n Kids program. The books and warm and fuzzy teddy bears will be handed to Cincinnati police officers to give to local children in need. For every $6 donated, a child in a trouble situation will receive a Quota Cares Teddy Bear.

Having a friend when you need it is very important to a child. It becomes even more important when that child is going through a stressful or traumatic experience. Quota International Cares Teddy Bears are those friends. When Children are distressed, they don’t always have access to that feeling of safety and comfort that they so desperately need. Quota Cares Teddy Bears provide that comfort, help them cope, and act as a small reminder to the child, “you are not alone”

Calling all Clubs!

Every Quotarian, near or far, young and old, can participate in this service project. Simply click here to print the donation form and submit a completed copy with your books and donations.

Whether you bring The Velveteen Rabbit, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, or just your checkbook, we thank you for your kindness and this opportunity to show much Quota Cares.

  1. Lake County USA will be bringing books. Region 2 Director will be bringing books and bears. What a great way to spread the Quota word and to help those in need and so young!
